Stephen Craig

Stephen began his career in public safety in 1997, serving in Fire & EMS before entering law enforcement in 2006.  He has served as a Detective with the Springfield Township Police department since 2014, leading complex investigations involving narcotics, cybercrime, fraud, and digital forensics.  He is a member of the U.S. Secret Service Philadelphia Area Cyber Fraud Task Force and has been recognized as an expert in both narcotics trafficking and digital forensics in Pennsylvania courts.  He leads the department’s Digital Forensics Lab, where he provides advanced forensic analysis for Springfield Township and multiple partner agencies throughout Eastern Montgomery County.

Stephen is certified by leading organizations including Cellebrite (CCME) and Magnet Forensics (MCFE), and has trained extensively at the National Computer Forensics Institute (NCFI), the nation's premiere high-tech crime training facility.  Stephen is a member of the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), the High Tech Cyber Investigative Association (HTCIA), and the East-Coast Gang Investigators Association (ECGIA).

Beyond laboratory work, Stephen is widely recognized for his passion in teaching.  He provides training to a wide range of audiences from public safety, to community organizations, to school districts.  His instructional style is built on humility, mentorship, and real-world experience.  Stephen is also part of EMS Educational Services, Inc., a family-owned training organization founded in 1978.  As the founder of ClearPath Digital Consulting - an affiliate of EMS Educational Services - he brings together extensive investigative experience and a thoughtful, people-centered approach to help organizations navigate an increasingly complex digital world.
